We are looking for an experienced Cement mixer and flat bed drivers.  

Responsibilities: Transport concrete block, and cement ready mix. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Comply with DOT driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures, maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, collect and verify delivery instructions, report defects, accidents or violations  

Skills: Proven work experience as a truck driver, hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.) Follow directions. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations. (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)  Valid truck driving license.  

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability  

Trucking Route: Short haul  

Experience: Commercial Driving: 1 year (Preferred) 

Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Ability to work in a dirty and noisy environment.
• Ability to learn concepts of concrete block manufacturing.
• Operating equipment, and ability to troubleshoot problems.
• During machine downtime, this position is to assist where needed.
• Must be able to read and use a tape measure and use of mechanical tools.
• Capable of inspecting product and equipment.
• Keep area clean and organized for duration of the shift
• Can follow lockout procedures.
• As needed, at shutdown, must clean mixer and have completed within the designated time required for shift
• Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Regular attendance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Requires basic math, reading and writing skills
• High school or GED
• On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
• Learn and follow all safety procedures for the equipment.
• Capable and willing to lift 50lbs or greater occasionally.
• Communicate effectively with peers and management.
• Regular attendance is required.

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00+ per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
